Youth Pastor Charged With Sex Offenses

Amazingly enough, we allow this to continue throughout the United States. Ladies and Gentlemen, you always think this cannot happen to you, or in my area or to my child. I have news for you. This happened 30 minutes from my home. It can happen to you or your child or a child you know. There is no justice. This man walks free tonight on $50000 bail while his victims have to rebuild their entire lives with their childhood smashed to bits.

It is time for the public to refuse to allow this to happen. Florida residents NOTE: This man is now living and working in your area. Will you allow him to commit these tragedies in your community? Religion and Church needs to take more responsibility. While they are busy condemning things such as gay marriage, their "own" are committing heinous crimes towards our children. It is not the first time you have heard of a pastor who has indulged himself in the devils work. It will not be the last time.

Employers do background checks, reference checks, credit checks, interviews, second interviews and more to ensure they are getting the best person for the job. Why should our Churches not be held to these same standards? The answer is - THEY SHOULD BE. Pastors, Priests and Rabbis are still human beings who make mistakes, commit crimes and at times, are ugly excuses for humanity. Take a stand guys and gals. The next time that new member of your church walks in, take the time to find out who he or she really is.

Because, unfortunately, IT can happen to you.

A former youth pastor in Kingston is charged with inappropriate behavior toward minors. The charges stem from the time he was living in Luzerne County.

Brian Neiswender, 26, was in court Wednesday morning in Kingston. Police said he was supposed to be teaching young church members but instead, was taking advantage of them.

Neiswender had no comment on his way out of court. He is accused of inappropriately touching two teenage girls while working as a youth pastor.

Police say it happened from September of 2003 through February of 2006 at the Christ Community Church in Kingston and they said in all, they think Neiswender was involved with four young girls.

"I know that there are two other victims out there. One because of her age, the indecent assault charges don't apply because of her age. There is another girl, I have her name and if she sees this, I want her to contact me," said Kingston Police Captain John Jorda.

According to arrest papers, Neiswender groped the victims while teaching them to play guitar and piano or playing a game at the church.

"They would have music lessons at the church or play a hide and seek game in the dark in the church which is where this would happen," Jorda added.

Police said Neiswender recently called one of his victims and "apologized several times" for what he had done. Officers recorded the call.

They said Neiswender is a pastor in the Florida community where he is now living and they said the charges here in northeast Pennsylvania will mean an investigation there.

"We have been in contact with the Polk County Sheriff's Department and they are considering into looking into matters down there," explained Captain Jorda.

The pastor of Christ Community Church in Kingston said he did not want to comment about the charges.

Kingston police said they interviewed church leaders Wednesday afternoon to see if they knew about what was happening.

Neiswender is out on $50,000 bail.

Nicholas Kaczur - New England Patriots Player Turns Informant

It is with a heavy heart that I read articles such as this. Each time I read one, I can hear the collective voices of most of the world asking, what is wrong with our young people? The answer is written in black and white in every article about sports stars, celebrities, actors and actresses, and anyone else who spends time in the limelight.

These are the role models for our children, ladies and gentlemen. They are not held to the same standards as you and I are. They are allowed to get away with whatever suits their fancy. O. J. Simpson commits not one, but two felonies and walks free. Martha Stewart commits fraud and gets a slap on the wrist. Paula Abdul commits a hit and run accident and gets pointed to the local bar for a drink after she is sentenced with absolutely NO jail time. Paris Hilton goes to jail and gets out early for *gulp* good behavior. We continue to make them famous, we continue to pay their bills and buy their crap and support them on television shows such as American Idol.

Our children watch these role models with a glint in their eyes. Their impressionable minds are forming thoughts and ideas and beliefs of right and wrong based on what their favorite celeb gets away with. Parents are enabling them to follow this line of thinking, instead of sitting them down and explaining exactly why they should not give the time of day to this person let alone make them their heroes.

Celebrities, sports stars...take note. We are pissed. You should value your job as a role model for our children above all else. You do not, and we refuse to support you and your refusal to act like a normal, human being. You do not have the liberty of making a mistake and paying for it like anyone else would. You are not entitled to special treatment because of who you are or what you have done. It is time to GROW UP and realize that what you do now, will affect the future of our children for years to come.

Every one of you should be treated as any normal person would be treated if they committed these acts. Normal fines, jail time and more should apply. It is time for our court system, legal system and our country to wake up and smell the coffee before the lives of more of our youth are destroyed by people such as this.

BOSTON - A starting lineman for the New England Patriots worked as an informant for federal drug agents after he was arrested in New York on a charge of carrying the powerful painkiller oxycodone without a prescription, an attorney said.

Nicholas Kaczur, 28, wore a wire to help agents build a case against his alleged supplier, Daniel Ekasala, according to Ekasala's attorney.

A Drug Enforcement Administration agent said in an affadavit that a cooperating witness — whose name was not revealed — wore a recording device during three drug buys in May. In each of the deals, the witness bought 100 OxyContin pills from Ekasala for $3,900 in cash, the agent wrote.

Ekasala's lawyer, Bernard Grossberg, said Kaczur was that cooperating witness.

Kaczur denied to The Boston Globe that he participated in the investigation, telling the newspaper, "I don't know what you're talking about, bro."

Kaczur has an unlisted telephone number and could not be reached for comment Wednesday. His agent, Vance Malinovic, did not return messages left by The Associated Press.

Stacey James, a spokesman for the Patriots, would not comment on Kaczur. She referred questions to the U.S. Attorney's Office, which declined to comment.

Ekasala, 34, was indicted Tuesday and remains free on an unsecured bond of $10,000. He pleaded not guilty Wednesday in U.S. District Court to three counts of possession of oxycodone with intent to distribute.

Ekasala was arrested May 13 after meeting the witness in a supermarket parking lot in Sharon and selling him 100 pills, according to the DEA affidavit.

Kaczur told the DEA he began purchasing OxyContin in November, getting 100 pills every few days, Grossberg said. The lawyer said he believes Kaczur inflated the quantity he bought to "increase his importance or usability to the DEA."

Ekasala, an unemployed construction worker and father of 2-year-old twins from Saugus, was sympathetic to Kaczur and somewhat in awe of him because of his status as a Patriots player, Grossberg said.

"As anybody who meets a professional athlete ... I think he became somewhat enamored by his contact with him, and was enticed to do certain things," Grossberg said.

Kaczur, who lives in Attleboro, was pulled over by state police in Whitestown, N.Y., on April 27, for driving 76 mph in a 65 mph zone. He was charged with a misdemeanor count of criminal possession of a controlled substance, said Sgt. Kern Swoboda, a spokesman for the state police.

Kaczur was issued a summons to appear in court on May 12, but Swoboda did not know the current status of his case.

Kaczur, who was drafted by the Patriots in 2005, started 15 games last year.

Gay Marriage Approved By California Court

Once again, Americans are forcing everyone to face an issue that really is not an issue. Who cares if two people of the same sex get married? What gives me or you the right to say who a person can love and choose to spend the rest of their lives with? We have spent far too much of the taxpayer's dollar on obnoxious, stupidly idiotic (is that an oxy moron?) issue such as who marries who? Unless it is someone wanting to marry their brother (which includes real health risks to any child born of a union such as this), give it a rest.

I know there is a religious side to this as well. Churches and church groups and religious fanatics rejoice. You can hide right behind this:

Judge not, lest ye be judged.

Otherwise, enough is enough. Start spending tax dollars on finding an answer to the issue of rising gas costs, rising food costs and our own homeless and get over your need to control the actions of every single living and breathing person on Earth!

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California's Supreme Court gave the final green light on Wednesday for gay marriages to begin later this month, turning down requests for a delay.

The most populous U.S. state's highest court ruled last month that refusing homosexuals the right to wed violated the state constitution.

Opponents then asked the court to halt the start of gay weddings until November, when the state's voters will decide a ballot measure that, if approved by a simple majority, will define marriage as a union between a man and a woman.

"It would have been unprecedented to postpone constitutional rights based on speculation of how a political scenario may or may not play out," San Francisco city attorney Dennis Herrera said.

"Folks can get married on June 17," he said.

The court voted 4-3 to deny the petition to stay the decision. The same judges voted the same way on May 15 in the landmark decision, hailed by gay activists and condemned by social conservatives.

The court's original ruling becomes final at 5 p.m. on June 16, opening the way for gay marriages to start the next day.

"This is another four-to-three vote for legal chaos," Glen Lavy, senior counsel at the Alliance Defense Fund, which is fighting against gay marriage, said in a statement.

"This decision is the most egregious case of judicial activism in modern American history. The refusal to wait for the people to decide by the constitutional process confirms that."

GAY MARRIAGE OPEN TO ALL

Massachusetts is the only U.S. state that allows same-sex marriage, but offers licenses only to its own residents. California has no residency requirement, which means gays from across the United States will be able to go there to marry.

San Francisco, internationally known for its gay community, briefly allowed homosexuals to marry four years ago before a court ended the ceremonies. The legal battle that followed culminated in last month's decision.

Gay marriage remains a topic of hot debate in U.S. politics. More than 25 states have constitutional amendments barring gay marriage.

The group behind the November California ballot measure against gay marriage expects to spend at least $10 million in the campaign.

Polls have showed contrasting trends. A Field poll published last week showed 51 percent in favor of gay marriage and 42 percent opposed. But a Los Angeles Times poll a week before found 54 percent backed the amendment defining marriage as between a man and a woman while 35 percent opposed it.

Should that measure pass, gay marriages could again come to an end. But thousands of same-sex couples are expected to tie the knot over the summer.

*Stars* Not Paying Taxes?

From Willy Nelson to Wesley Snipes and now the latest Richard Hatch, winner of the first season of the popular show "Survivor", it seems tax evasion is the newest trend to be set by our favorite stars! Now I don't know about you, but it pisses me off that these people, who should be taking the time to kiss the ground that the normal person walks on, see fit to make millions from our hard earned dollars and then refuse to pay back into the system.

Who supports them? We do. Who pays their bills? We do. Who gives them those million dollar homes and more cars worth more money than my entire house? We do! I am fond of several popular sayings for a reason...

What goes around comes around.

Every dog has their day.

It is time for our justice system to get a move on and get harder on these white collar criminals. Four years of jail time? Pfft...they mean a walk in the park at some country club prison. These people will never do hard time like you or I would. How about some new laws? Such as...

If you don't pay your taxes, you will not only spend time in a jail cell with Bubba, hardened criminal and axe murder.

If you don't pay your taxes, you will not be allowed to collect social security in your golden years.

If you don't pay your taxes, we'll take your house or houses, your cars, your $1000 suits, your bank accounts (including those hidden off-shore accounts) and auction it all off to the highest bidder. We will then use the proceeds to provide shelter, food and normal every day needs to our countries homeless.

If you don't pay your taxes, we will take your passport and refuse to allow you to work in your chosen profession. We will, however, allow you to make minimum wage working along side all those people who made you what you are today.

Get a grip! Jails are overcrowded as is. It is time for stiffer, hit me where it hurts penalties for people like this. Make them suffer where it will hurt the most, and impose penalties that will take the joy from their lives for a period of time. Make an example of these people, and find out how many actually ever try to do it again or how many new offenders there will be. I damn well guarantee that you would find superstars and celebrities paying their taxes fast and furiously!

Jail Time For Not Mowing Your Grass?!

Okay guys and gals, how much more NUTS is the world going to get? First of all, who in the name of all that is holy pays someone $125 per lot to cut the grass? Blow my mind. I must be living in the wrong state. I'll charge 'em $120 and save them $10000 bucks a year!

Ask yourself...are the jails not crowded enough that we now have to put people in jail because they committed the cri *choke*me of not cutting the grass? Murders, rapists, molesters and bank robbers...and this city is putting people in jail for NOT MOWING THE GRASS?

Ohio City...wake up and take notice. People have to WORK for a living, unlike your city council who obviously has way to much time on their hands. I think your citizens should throw up a vote about cutting your paychecks in half, throwing your asses in jail for about 60 days and making you wonder...is not doing my job a good reason to put me in jail?

Did you think about the cost of housing these horrible (god I think I'm going to die laughing) non-grass mowing criminals? How much money will that cost? Or are your good ol' tax paying citizens going to stand for this type of gross misconduct?

Read all about this ridiculously stupid "should have been tossed into the garbage" law below!

Associated Press

CANTON, Ohio — Homeowners who don't mow their grass in this northeast Ohio city now face stiffer penalties — including possible jail time.

The city council unanimously passed a law Monday that makes a second high-grass violation a fourth-degree misdemeanor carrying a fine of up to $250 and as many as 30 days in jail.

The previous law only made the first violation a minor misdemeanor, with a fine of up to $150 but no jail time. The new law is to take effect in 30 days.

"This is the type of action we need to take in order to clean up our neighborhoods and our city," Mayor William J. Healy II said.

The laws are an effort to reduce the roughly $250,000 the city spends to cut about 2,000 private lots each year and to address public complaints, Councilman Greg Hawk has said.
